We have a lot of great things going on over here at Me.dium, and we love hearing from you, our users! Nothing is more valuable than your feedback, so like always, please feel free to grab GFIGG, PJN, or myself and let us know your thoughts!
You’re on Me.dium, but do you know who else is out there? Many of you want to meet fellow surfers, so here’s your chance. Every few days, we’re going to feature a different Me.dium user so you can really see who else is rockin’ their sidebar. So here we go!
Paul (or Paularc) is one of my favorite people to chat with on Me.dium. He works for an “Integrated Communications” design agency in CA as a Sr. Art Director doing everything from traditional offline print to online digital content. He’s an art, music, and people lover, as people are always number one in everything he does (especially his family!) Paul got into the industry back in the day when Apple and Adobe were just getting started. Now he’s deep into all the latest tools and technology etc., but still believes in good ol’ fashion talent for design and creation. Paul found Me.dium through Flock and got hooked. He had some pretty sweet things to say about us, so we’ll let that quote come directly from him. (What can I say, we love people who love us..heh)
“I love the fact that I can surf, communicate verbally and visually with all my friends and co-workers simultaneously all within the Me.dium sidebar without skipping a beat on any of my other online activities, research etc. Sharing the experiences of the online and offline world is what it’s all about and we all learn from each other when we do so. For me Social Networking is a tool to spread positive ideas, concepts and solutions to as many people as possible to help make the world a better place and make a difference while we’re here. So hook up on Me.dium and help spread the word, invite all your friends and make a difference.—”Me.” (aka Paul)”
(PS-How sweet is his picture?)
Boulder, Colorado is an unreal place. It exists in in space all it’s own. After 4 years living there and going to University of Colorado,(shameless link plug,) I was ready to change it up and try something new. I was on auto-pilot and didn’t fully appreciate all that it had to offer. After 6 months away and working for Me.dium in Texas, I finally came back to spend a little time in Colorado. It’s a little tragic that I ever left. People relaxing at Boulder Creek, frisby in the park, beautiful weather. It doesn’t get much better than that.
Of course I had to spend a couple of days in the Me.dium office while I was back. It was great to see the community team, and the rest of the crew, working hard and all synchronizing thier browsers for Firefox’s Download Day. I forgot how much I missed the office! It has an amazing view of the Flatirons, a fully stocked super-kitchen, and of course 2 massage chairs…excellent. White boards with new ideas can be found throughout the office, along with many employees reppin’ Me.dium shirts.
A few nights ago, I hung out with the guys from Needzilla.com who were both very cool, and had some great plans for thier website. Walked the college campus, (damn it feels good to be an Alum, go buffs!) and of course checked out some of the Pearl Street scene. Short trip, but so glad to have made it back!
xoxo-Jenny (PS, I took the Flatiron and creek photos myself? Impressed? Me too. Haha
Welcome Firefox 3 users! Today you can feel accomplished by knowing that you, yes you, are hopefully going to be part of a World Record! We’ve been a recommended Add on for Firefox and compatible with 3.0 from the start. Firefox is awesome already, Firefox 3 is going to be even more amazing, and Firefox+Me.dium? Woohoo watch out! ![]()

Our favorite Boulder band is kicking ass and taking names once again! The guys from Rose Hill Drive and their awesome director Mendel Rabinovitch teamed up with Me.dium to shoot their first music video. Thanks to the help of our teched-out start-up office, the guys designed a geek’s paradise with a few Me.dium stickers thrown into the mix. In the “Sneak Out” video Jake, Daniel and Nate nerded out to the max (pocket protectors and all) as Jake, bass and vocals, attempts to gather the courage to hit on the office’s ultra sexy receptionist (Jake’s real gf!)
Peter (pjn) and I (gfigg) were there to help with the process and I can easily say I’ll never stay that late in the office again! Working until 7am is, well, a bit much to say the least. But the shoot was a blast. Mendel and the band kept everyone laughing and did their best to squeeze a Me.dium employee into the video whenever possible… Can you spot us?
Check out the video here (scroll to the bottom) and vote these guys to the top. Rose Hill Drive is what rock’n'roll has been sorely missing for the last 10 years. Their heavy guitar, screeching vocals and in-your-face drums are the epitome of rock. They aren’t afraid to showcase their talent and tear it up. Think Led Zeppelin + Weezer. If you like rock, you like Rose Hill Drive. Period.
Take a listen - trust me, you’ll agree.
